Vacancy – Network Administrator

We currently have a vacancy for a Network Administrator. It is a fantastic opportunity to work with exceptional people in a fast growing ISP.
Essential: -
- BGP Knowledge
- OSPF Knowledge
- Good TCP/IP knowledge and ability to diagnose network issues
- Experience of scripting of at least one of the following (Bash, PHP, Perl, Python etc)
- Experience of monitoring (e.g. Nagios)
- 3-5 years System Administration experience
- Excellent WAN/LAN networking
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Enthusiastic problem solver
- Ability to work unsupervised and recommend technical solutions
- Positive can-do attitude and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to mentor and teach
- Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation to support the technical infrastructure
- Experience of working over multiple sites
- Familiar with virtualisation technologies (eg. Xen, VirtualBox)
- Good understanding of network security principles
- Experience administering multiple Linux systems (preferably Red Hat based)
Desirable: -
- 2:1 or higher relevant degree from a reputable university
- ISP Background
- Experience of working with a 24/7 environment
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
